I was recently elected to the position of Division 6 Coordinator by my colleagues on the Steering Committee (SC). I am honored to assume this position and will work to promote the division’s goals of providing “the opportunity for basic and applied hearing researchers to pursue topics of mutual interest within the larger framework of the Association,” as well as “providing a forum in which the clinician can suggest areas in need of further research, and perhaps develop productive collaborations with the researchers.”
In my day job, I am an associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington. I direct the audiology service at the U of W Medical Center, and conduct research in middle-ear assessment at the V. M. Bloedel Hearing Research Center.
